Setting Up Unique Parameters

Setting Up Rounding in Pipeline Manager. Pipeline Manager uses the rounding rules specified in the /config/beid object when applying rounding. To round balance impacts in Pipeline Manager, you configure the FCTRounding module. See 'About Configuring the FCTRounding Module'. You can also set up separate rounding rules when defining a price model.

A colleague asked the question of whether a parameter function could belong to multiple parameter sets, but not all of them, say in Set A and B, but not C. So I tried a couple of things out, then checked the documentation to see what was actually possible.

Setting Up Unique Parameters Meaning

  • With the tips above, it’s pretty easy to come up with a password. Just bash your fingers against your keyboard and you can come up with a strong password like 3o(t&gSp&3hZ4#t9. That’s a pretty good one—it’s 16 characters, includes a mix of many different types of characters, and is hard to guess because it’s a series of random characters.
  • “Each parameter set must have a unique parameter that the Windows PowerShell runtime can use to expose the appropriate parameter set.” i.e. Each parameter set distinguishes itself by means of a unique parameter, but that doesn’t imply that another parameter couldn’t be in multiple sets, but not all of them.

It states

i.e. each parameter set distinguishes itself by means of a unique parameter, but that doesn’t imply that another parameter couldn’t be in multiple sets, but not all of them.

ParametersSetting up unique parameters definition

“For parameters that belong to multiple parameter sets, add a Parameter attribute for each parameter set.”

So the following example illustrates the syntax required to make parameter D part of Set 1 and Set 2, parameter E part of Set 2 and Set 3, and parameter F in Set 1, 2 and 3.
